The AP and Google, quick and easy.
At the risk of being lame, both for being ostensibly anti-internet, and for pointing out the obvious: the AP is going after Google, and I don’t have any problem with the idea.
As it stays busy removing geography from the equation, Google is changing the journalism industry from a more or less uniformly distributed pile of money to a power law distribution (that Google’s taking a cut of). The AP depends on the uniform distribution right now, ergo: they need to do something. A visual aid:


BTW, I made these graphs using OmniGraphSketcher in about 10 minutes, including download/installation time and getting over the learning curve. In other words, there are going to be a lot more graphs around here. Get excited.
